Mosin-Nagant M44 Takedown

Here are acouple of well produced and very informative videos on the M44 takedown and reassembly, as well as firing pin adjustment. I learned some new things by watching these!

Part 1

Part 2

This also applies to the Mosin-Nagant M91/30 and M38, as well as the Finnish M39 and other models based on this design.

  1. Good stuff, I have been looking at that for a while. I still cannot believe I was having such a time. I knew what I was doing, but I am back to being able to get the thing down in a hurry and vice versa.

Have you found a basic run down like this on the Mauser or SMLE?

This is great info for the old battle turn bolt.
