  1. Thanks Sir, that would be very good information to know, especially if your job takes you in foreign countries with unstable governments. Telling them you are an American citizen will do you no good, probably even gain you only harm.

  2. In the Army (ours) we were tested yearly on E&E (escape and evasion courses). I think it is known as s.e.r.e. nowdays and is probably much more intense now than then. In those days we were given a compass, but no maps (unless you could get hold of one) and as long as we managed to evade capture by hostile forces and reached our destination by or before the appointed time we were good to go until next year. It doesn't work as easily in the real world.
