Windowfarms

Using previously underutilized opportunities for growing spaces, the window farm is unique in its approach by combining a vertical garden with hydroponics. You will not be able to grow enough vegetables to make much of a dent in what you consume, but some is better than none, and this could be used to grow herbs for the kitchen as well as some fresh salad makings.

With the addition of lighting, the concept could be expanded for use in areas with minimal window space or only Northern exposures.

When you visit the site for Windowfarms you will see several methods that can be employed as well as options for purchasing kits or plans for building your own.

This is a great option for growing year-round.
