OpSec

OPSEC is going to become more important as this society unravels. Do you really want Uncle Big Sis snooping in on your family reunion plans that you just emailed out, just so that they can do a SWAT on cousin Jimmy for that weed he smoked back in '93?
No?
Then you need some protection.

No not that kind!
Sheesh, get serious here for a moment, Okay?

Pretty Good Privacy/Protection is an encrytion program that can be used to secure your files and email from prying eyes. Granted, it probably won't stop the JBT's forever from gaining access to your files, but it could slow them down some! Protect your Family Reunion!!

Save cousin Jimmy from the NSA/DEA/FBI/ATF/DHS/SWAT raid!

PGP 8.02 Freeware
http://www.filewatcher.com/m/PGP802-PF-W.zip.8851837.0.0.html

This was the last version of PGP offered as freeware (for personal use, for sale commercially) before it was acquired by another commercial venture.

Better grab a copy while you can get one. This one is hosted on an ftp site in Russia.
ftp://ftp.iem.ac.ru/windows/internet/security/PGP/PGP802-PF-W.zip

I found a later version but it was trialware and had a 30 day limitation.

Symantec owns it now.

An alternative is:
Gpg4win - a secure solution...
... for file and email encryption. Gpg4win (GNU Privacy Guard for Windows) is Free Software and can be installed with just a few mouse clicks.

Run on Local Bank

There was a run on a local bank last Friday.
Ok, maybe it wasn't much of a run.
It was actually just one person that I am aware off retrieving their deposits.

Yeah, it was me. I cleaned out my meager savings after reading this the night before on The Market Ticker: "Caution: This HadBetter Not Be True"

The conclusions I arrived at led me to believe it prudent to retrieve and control my own funds. I bank at Bank Of America. You may or may not take action of your own. I would rather have control of my money than have the banks take it when they go on holiday.

If things start to crash here in the US, I will be buying last minute preps such as gasoline,  food and more ammo.
