Updates

I have been fighting a head cold which has moved down into my chest some for the last week and a half, so not much done on the writing end of things. I haven't been down to the local Goodwill for a few weeks now and my wallet thanks me. I have found some great items there with prepping use in mind. My blogroll is offline for a few days as I make some changes to the layout, so if you were wondering where it went, that is why it is missing.

The sun has finally decided to shine and it "currently" looks as if it will be nice through next weekend. I hope so, as I am planning to go camping. I need to get out of doors and smell some woodsmoke. I was going to go by myself, but we found a house sitter so my young men and I will be going.

The weather has been extremely mild and wet this year, horrendous for trying to grow anything. If this is going to be the trend we are faced with, multiple greenhouses may be in order for sustainability.
I have added a new feature to my blog called "Featured Blog". I am currently displaying each blog for a week, and currently at random. I may work out a method for choosing, such as under visited or great content, something other than alphabetical.

I  normally stay on the bleeding ass-end of computer technology given that it changes so fast, but I believe that the current price of components is hard to beat, so I have built a new "Screamer".

I have another 500 GB drive, don't remember the make though I suspect it is Western Digital. That's a total of 2 terabytes of storage  and I have room in the case for four more drives! I am running Windows 7 Enterprise trial edition which is good for 90 days. Everything is purchased from Newegg, except the OS, which is a free download to qualified individuals.

Ok, some of your eyes may be glazing over with all this computer hardware talk so I will quit now. I am still feeling a bit under the weather so perhaps I shall go back to bed and work on my story in my head, which is how I usually do it. I have had several more requests for more so I need some quiet time to work out details, dialog and such.

  1. Glad your feeling better. Very cool survival trailer. I am very much looking forward to Chapter 14 of the Cache. This story would make a very cool movie.
