Literally! Everytime I turn around this beast wants more. Now it needs a new ignition switch!
Ugh! I have the part, but the damn switch is located on top of the steering column so I have to drop it to install the switch. Brilliant!

No fun. I can remember when I was still working at the Lincoln/Mercury dealership when Ford came out with an ignition switch recall for almost their entire line of vehicles. I have literally changed hundreds of them.
ReplyDeleteOne trick I came up with to get to the Torx bit screws on them is to find the correct bit size and stick it in a 1/4 inch ratcheting wrench . Makes it a lot easier because it gets in that low clearance spot and gives you the leverage to break the screws loose.
