Updates

I have been fighting a head cold which has moved down into my chest some for the last week and a half, so not much done on the writing end of things. I haven't been down to the local Goodwill for a few weeks now and my wallet thanks me. I have found some great items there with prepping use in mind. My blogroll is offline for a few days as I make some changes to the layout, so if you were wondering where it went, that is why it is missing.

The sun has finally decided to shine and it "currently" looks as if it will be nice through next weekend. I hope so, as I am planning to go camping. I need to get out of doors and smell some woodsmoke. I was going to go by myself, but we found a house sitter so my young men and I will be going.

The weather has been extremely mild and wet this year, horrendous for trying to grow anything. If this is going to be the trend we are faced with, multiple greenhouses may be in order for sustainability.
I have added a new feature to my blog called "Featured Blog". I am currently displaying each blog for a week, and currently at random. I may work out a method for choosing, such as under visited or great content, something other than alphabetical.

I  normally stay on the bleeding ass-end of computer technology given that it changes so fast, but I believe that the current price of components is hard to beat, so I have built a new "Screamer".

Specs below:
G.SKILL Ripjaws Series 8GB (2 x 4GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1333 (PC3 10666)

GIGABYTE GA-870A-UD3 AM3 AMD 870 SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.0 ATX AMD Motherboard

XFX Core Edition PRO850W (P1-850S-NLB9) 850W ATX12V / EPS12V SLI Certified CrossFire Ready 80 PLUS BRONZE Certified Active PFC Power Supply

XFX HD-679X-ZNFC Radeon HD 6790 1GB 256-bit GDDR5 PCI Express 2.1 x16 HDCP Ready CrossFireX Support Video Card with Eyefinity

I have another 500 GB drive, don't remember the make though I suspect it is Western Digital. That's a total of 2 terabytes of storage  and I have room in the case for four more drives! I am running Windows 7 Enterprise trial edition which is good for 90 days. Everything is purchased from Newegg, except the OS, which is a free download to qualified individuals.

Ok, some of your eyes may be glazing over with all this computer hardware talk so I will quit now. I am still feeling a bit under the weather so perhaps I shall go back to bed and work on my story in my head, which is how I usually do it. I have had several more requests for more so I need some quiet time to work out details, dialog and such.

Mauser Goodness

Got a Mauser?
Want to add some "cool" to the old warhorse?

Here's a little something to add some fun to your "tacticool" adventures!

Mauser 98 20 Round 8mm Detachable Magazine (Trench magazine reproduction)
http://www.gunpartscorp.com/catalog/Detail.aspx?pid=50230&filter=8mm+magazine&catid=0
$53.00 plus shipping

This links appears to be sold out as it is no longer available, it just takes you to the homepage.
http://e-sarcoinc.com/mauser20roundtrenchmagazine.aspx
$64.95 plus shipping

From the e-Sarco ad (which no longer exists since they are sold out):

"During the trench warfare of WWI, the Germans developed these magazines to increase the firepower of their 98 Mausers. Easily installed in any GEW 98 rifle by merely removing the floorplate from the rifle's triggerguard, and replacing it with the trench magazine. Original trench magazines are very rare and valuable. We now have this quality reproduction indentical to the original right down to the proof marks! Will also work in 98K, KAR 98a, VZ24, and most M98 style Mauser rifles. Blued steel, complete with follower, spring and follower retainer with chain."

Here's some pic's of one installed (someone else's).

That's 20 rounds of 7.92x57mm badness (goodness?) heading your way if you are a bad guy. That's a "Detachable Magazine" (well, with some effort required), get a second one for even more fun or for a friends Mauser! The stock is a Richards Microfit Gunstock.

It can be replaced with the original for hunting season and swapped back for tacticool applications!

Is This What They Are Afraid Of?

We have all read or heard of the FEMA quote requests for body-bags, blankets, food and fuel for the New Madrid Fault area.

We have also heard the rumors that the FedGov have bought up vast quantities of food.

We have heard of the FedGov underground bunkers, huge underground warehouses full of food.

The "Doomsday Seed Vault" located on the Norwegian island of Spitsbergen.

It's as if they are afraid of something.

Something big.

Perhaps this is what they are concerned about.

Hyperbolic Comet Elenin

A large body passing this close to the earth could create massive crustal disturbance.
I am not an expert in these matters.

Star Wormwood anyone?

P.S. thanks to Bill Nye for the comment on his blog post which yielded the link above.

Much ado 'bout nothing?
Unfortunately, we may be about to find out!

Imagine, If You Will...

I have read on several blogs and websites where the authors were opining that several previously maligned conspiracy theory's had actual been proven true!

Huh!
Imagine that!

In the spirit of the game I would like to put forth my own Conspiracy Theory.

Imagine if you will, a plot so sinister as to rock the foundations of all societies...

Imagine a group of the ultra rich; self serving, self imagining themselves as "elites"...

Imagine their vision of a world where they are the Lords and Lady's once again as in our past...

Imagine a world in which the human population has been reduced through famine, war and pestilence, to which they hold the  reins...

Imagine the nations of the earth brought low, whole cultures eliminated by these actions...

Welcome to the world of the New World Order.

In order for there to become a one world government, controlled by these parasites, all cultures but one must be eliminated.
Why?

The people of all western nations want self determination. And some of those from the eastern nations are raising their voices, wanting the perceived freedoms of the west. The western nations are slowly ceding their freedoms back to the state for what is thought to be safety, but it is not but a trap. The state, whose reins of governing are held by the "elites", have other plans.

There can be no one world government as long as nationalism exists. Hence the erasing of borders, and the flooding of western nations with immigrants from the muslin nations, and here in the USA, the attempt to erase the culture by diluting it with a flood of illegals from south of our border, as well as planting muslim populations from around the world. See Detroit as an example of what your area can become.

By erasing the concept of borders, they eventually will erase the cultures of the native populations.

There is only one culture in the world that embraces the concept of a one world government, a caliphate.
That culture is Islam

According to Wikipedia:
The term caliphate "dominion of a caliph ('successor')" (from the Arabic خلافة or khilāfa, Turkish: Halife), refers to the first system of government established in Islam and represented the political unity of the Muslim Ummah (nation). In theory, it is a constitutional republic[1] (see Constitution of Medina), which means that the head of state, the Caliph, and other officials are representatives of the people and must govern according to an existing constitutional law that limits the government's power over citizens.
....
Sunni Islam stipulates that the head of state, the caliph, should be selected by Shura – elected by Muslims or their representatives.[2] Followers of Shia Islam believe the caliph should be an imam descended in a line from the Ahl al-Bayt. After the Rashidun period until 1924, caliphates, sometimes two at a single time, real and illusory, were ruled by dynasties. The first dynasty was the Umayyad. This was followed by the Abbasid, the Fatimid, and finally the Ottoman Dynasty.

Just like in Iran. And we all know how well it works there.

Since having this revelation, I have been trying to put the pieces together, to make sense of all this behind the scene support for the Islamic causes, and their infiltration of western societies.

Skeptical?

On my blog roll page on the left hand side near the top you will find the section called The Islamic Threat. Read the sites posted under it.

Follow the outrageous behavior of these animalistic savages.

Now do you recognize the threat to your way of life?

These people want to KILL YOU AND YOUR FAMILY for their (satanic) allah.

There will be no peace with them. Once they have gained the majority in population, you will capitulate to their way or die.

Eventually there will be war between the remnants of the western culture and Islam, the final crusade, as it were.

During this horrific time, the offshoot churches of Catholicism will reunite with her to wage war against the Islamic threat, but some will not. At this time I am not sure that the remnants of western civilization will be strong enough to repel and defeat this attempt to destroy them.

Everything you see in the news is an attempt to blind us to the peril we face. Distractions, all to keep us from focusing on that which will destroy this nation so that they can build their New World Order on the bones of all peoples, for in their twisted logic, most all of the people on earth must die, so that the resources of this planet will be theirs to use as they govern their new societies under their new order, their Caliphate.

Just a theory...

Maybe.

Goodwill Hunting & Link Goodness

We have had some nice sunny days here on the wet coast this last few days. Today it went back to the usual rain and overcast. Friday, which happened to be payday, I went to "Tijuana on the Sky" to do some shopping. I stopped to have lunch at "Taco Bell" after wandering around "Lowes" home improvement center and drooling at all the goodies ensconed therein.

I picked up some PVC fittings for my hoophouse and some oak dowels and 1"x2" for making my take-down bow saws for our "INCH" bags (I'm Never Coming Home). They should be fairly nice once they are completed.

"Tijuana On The Sky" has a Goodwill store that I have made several trips to lately. While there the last couple of times, I scored what I consider Big Time!

I found three Dell keyboards, 1 new and 2 nearly new, a Vector 95 watt Pocket Power Inverter, 3 Linksys routers (WRT54G and earlier "B" versions), new or nearly new Tee-shirts and some books. The routers were from some broadband I-net provider who must have been upgrading to the latest and greatest.

A sample of what I found there bookwise:
World War Z, The Road, A Canticle for Liebowitz, 3 books on programming with Visual Basic (a hobby of mine), 1 on SQL (database stuff), several Sci-Fi books, and Titus Crow by Brian Lumley (think H.P. Lovecraft, Horror classics).

I have also found a Thermos brand vacuum bottle in S.S. as well as two very high quality kitchen knives, made of stainless and with very nice rosewood handles. No markings on them at all, but by looking at them you can tell that they are not cheaply made! There were a few garden seed for $.29 per packet, a giant tomato tree, and some plastic planters. I thought the planters were a little over priced but I bought 2 anyway.

While snoopin' round the .net, I came across a few links I would like to share with you all.
