Strategic Retreat

Many blogs and websites talk about bugging out, B.O.B.'s and B.O.V.'s. Much is said about routes and locations, plans and such. But not a lot is said about triggers. What will trigger your B.O.P. (bug out plan)?

Oh, I know they talk about hurricanes, fires, floods and other natural disasters. But what about economic collapse or social disorder?

How about War or Martial Law?

What about food scarcity?

Preparing for these items requires something more than a bugout unless you are JWR's neighbor or part of preparedness group.

These events call for a strategic retreat; a move away from targets and percieved threats to a safer haven.

That is what I am doing.

This may be my last blog entry for some time while I am relocating.

A friend of mine who has been after me to move to his location for years has made me an offer too good to refuse. So I am going to go. I hope to be re-established within 3 to 6 months, but I have a lot of moving to do and his place is 300+ miles from mine.

Thank you to all of my readers. In my mind, you have made my blog something to be proud of. I am sorry this last month's posts were so sparse, but when you have a personal SHTF situation, it can take all of your mental focus to deal with that issue alone.

Slack Time

During my slack time this summer I am receptive to posting guest articles. If you have something you think appropriate, drop me a line and send me "what you got".

Contemplating...

I have been thinking about (semi)-organizing an impromptu get together for the readers of this blog. While it might be a bit much of a stretch for those in Mexico, Belgium, Australia, Great Britain. etc... to attend, those of you in the Pacific North West might be interested in coming.

I am envisioning a weekend campout that would allow us to get to know each other and to discuss prepping topics that are near and dear to our hearts. Hey, maybe we can even get some T-shirts that read like:

Something Wicked Comes
2008 Rendezvous.

Everyone would be invited, but it would probably only be practical for those living near Washington State. Everyone would be welcome, no matter where you are from.

Anyway, tell me what you think. If I get enough interest, I will see what can be generated. I know a real nice spot!

Approaching Storm

No matter where you are in life, this storm that is approaching will affect you. Your location does not matter, the storm is a global one. Rich and poor, young and old. All of us will be rocked by it's ravages.

Mayberry reports that The Fed Gov. bought up all of Mountain House's food supply. Why? Are they preparing for hurricane season? Or are they preparing for the storm. The global storm.

Tonight as I write this, the Internet grocer's site is down. Very odd that. Maybe just a coincidence, but that info originated from their site. Keep an eye on their site to see if it is just a glitch.

What about the other freeze dried suppliers? Have they been cleaned out too?

If you have not already laid in a large supply of non-hybrid seeds, do so now! Your future meals will come from this stockpile. Life is about to get very hard for many of us who are not wealthy. Single income families are going to go under soon. Next it will be those double income families, until the middle class is eliminated.

Since the middle class has all the blue collar skills that keep the Beast fed, they will become the new slave class when this storm is over. The poor and welfare recipients will simply be eliminated, as they have no skills or value to the Beast. The elite will have the food, and if you want to eat, you will do the Beast's bidding.

We will all experience our own personal storms, as Mayberry is with the Power company, or as I am with family threatening personal matters. I won't go into details, cause it's personal. Suffice it to say I am having my own SHTF event. I will survive, but my family will never be the same.

My posts for the rest of the summer will probably be limited to once a week as I labor to reduce my footprint in this town.

If you believe in God, pray that he will send angels to watch over you and your family, and those others whose blog's you read, as we all will need divine help in the Storm that is breaking even now.

If this gets enacted, we all have lost.

Anyone who is a bit out of step could be arrested.
Dissident bloggers, Civil Rights groups, Fringe Religious groups, Non-Compliant Firearms owners (Are these all your weapons? Yes Sir! DAMN LIAR!! Take them away!!), Survivalists, Preparedness Minded people (Hoarding food and ammo? What dastardly plan are you hatching that you will need all this?).

This could be a catalyst to a whole bunch of bad. Bend your representative and congressman's ears on this. Use what little clout We the People have left. It's your family's future at stake!
